It could be you! As the next Chair of our Board, could you help us increase the number of people we can support?

Do you think you have the skills and experience to help steer Transform through change and challenge to further our ambition to be 'best in show' of the supported housing sector? If so, we would like to hear from you!

We are currently searching for an exceptional individual to lead our Board of Trustees and to fill the very big shoes being left by our current Chair, Mark Austen, who will be completing his term of office later this year.

We have a portfolio of just under 1,000 properties at Transform and as well as providing homes for individuals, we empower them to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives. Last year we celebrated 50 years of transforming lives in this way and we have supported more than 30,000 clients during that time. We have ambitious plans to grow to support more people and our new Chair will be closely involved in bringing these plans to fruition.

The new Chair of Trustees will:

  • provide leadership to Transform and its Board, ensuring maximum impact for clients, in line with our charitable purpose, culture and values.
  • continue to ensure our governance arrangements are working in the most effective way possible and that we are complying with all our regulators.
  • establish and build a strong and effective working relationship with the Chief Executive and Executive Team to support them in achieving our objectives.

The successful candidate will also continue to drive the modernisation programme spearheaded by Mark Austen, who has championed new ways of working emulating successful approaches in industry. Mark has also prompted the development of new, fit-for-purpose technology which has boosted Transform’s success and became invaluable when the Covid pandemic hit.

We are being supported in the search for a new Chair by Green Park – a respected leadership recruitment agency known for helping build diverse senior leadership teams. Please click here for more information on this position, including the full
