Candlelit Carol Service to support Transform this Christmas

Transform Housing & Support will hold a free Candlelit Carol Service at Fetcham Park on Thursday 12 December.

The evening starts at 6.15pm with a traditional carol service in the beautiful Salon at Fetcham Park, led by the Rev’d Paul Boughton, Rector of Fetcham. This will be followed by a drinks reception and a chance to explore the historic mansion, which recently featured in the Hollywood film Diana starring Naomi Watts.

The Salon is being returned to its former role as a private chapel for one night only to host the event. St Mary’s, the parish church next door, is now closed for renovations until just before Christmas, so we had to find an alternative venue for the carol service. Fortunately Fetcham Park kindly offered us the use of The Salon in their 300-year-old listed mansion.

Transform Chief Executive Paul Mitchell said:

“This promises to be a magical event in a beautiful setting and a wonderful start to the Christmas season. We are very grateful to Fetcham Park, the Rev’d Paul Boughton and the Leatherhead and District Chamber of Commerce for making this event possible.

“Our carol service is a chance to celebrate and to give thanks, while also supporting Transform’s work with those who are homeless or vulnerable in our community. We hope many people will join us on 12 December – and help us to transform lives this Christmas.”

The event is free but there will be a collection in support of Transform’s work with local homeless and vulnerable people across Surrey.

Places are limited so anyone who is interested in attending should contact Transform by emailing comms@transformhousing.org.uk or calling 01372 387100.

With thanks to Fetcham Park, St Mary’s Church Fetcham and the Leatherhead and District Chamber of Commerce.
