Committees are smaller groups set up by the Board. Each committee looks closely at a specific area of Transform’s work and reports back to the Board.
Committees help the Board by checking details, asking questions, giving advice, and making some decisions where the Board has given them permission to do so. The Board remains responsible for the work it delegates.
Client Experience & Impact Committee
This committee helps the Board understand what clients need and what clients think about Transform’s services. It makes sure the client voice is heard and used to improve services, policies, satisfaction, and outcomes.
In simple terms, this committee helps make sure services are shaped around clients’ experiences and feedback.
Development & Asset Management Committee
This committee looks at Transform’s homes and buildings. It considers investment in properties, new development opportunities, buying or selling homes, and major improvement programmes.
It also looks at how Transform can make its properties more environmentally sustainable, including work linked to net zero carbon.
Audit & Risk Committee
This committee checks that Transform has good systems for managing risk, controls, audit, and assurance. This means it looks at how Transform checks that things are working properly and that risks are being managed.
The committee works with both internal and external auditors. It also makes sure serious concerns can be raised through the right routes, including whistleblowing.
Nominations Committee
This committee helps make sure the Board and its committees have the right people, skills, and experience. It reviews succession plans and supports the appointment of new Trustees.
It oversees recruitment, interviews candidates, and recommends suitable people to the Board.
Why this matters to clients
The Board and committees help make sure Transform listens to clients, provides safe and effective services, manages risks, follows the rules, and keeps improving. They also help make sure Transform works in a fair, inclusive, and environmentally responsible way.
Each committee shares its minutes with the Board. Committee Chairs highlight important decisions, risks, issues, and anything that needs Board approval.
