Community Foundation for Surrey homelessness webinar

Transform recently took part in a Community Foundation for Surrey webinar as part of the organisation’s March focus on homelessness. Transform’s Head of Housing & Support Viccy Johnson (pictured in the centre of photo) joined inspiring speakers from Rentstart and The Hope Hub Surrey Heath to address the issue of homelessness in Surrey and answer questions on how it could be tackled. You can watch a replay of the webinar by registering on their website.

Answering a query from a webinar attendee on what could be done to support homeless people, Viccy said:

“I think it’s about raising awareness. It’s key that we all show compassion and empathy – there has been an emphasis during Covid on being kind and I think that’s very important. You’re only one pay-cheque away from having financial problems securing your home.”
