Transform received a donation of over £6,700 from the American Women of Surrey on 10 June for its work with homeless young people.
The American Women of Surrey selected Transform Housing & Support as one of four charities supported during 2013/14. The club raised money for each charity with raffles and personal donations from its members, and through events such as their annual Gift Fayre in November. They also donated Christmas gifts to many of the young people supported by Transform.
The money raised will support The Crescent, Transform’s supported housing project for vulnerable young people in Woking. The donation will provide furniture and other essential items for clients when they move on from the service. It will also support activities for young people at The Crescent, such as exercise classes, art and crafts, gardening and other social events.
The American Women of Surrey have recently chosen to support Transform’s work in Woking for a second year. Funds raised during 2014/15 will help people at The Crescent to access education, employment and training opportunities.

Transform is very grateful to the club for the warmth and generosity they have shown our clients. Transform provides homes for 65 people in Woking, including two specialist housing projects for young people.
