American Women support Transform at Christmas

Members of the American Women of Surrey club donated Christmas presents for homeless young people at one of Transform’s properties in Woking during December.

The club held a ‘giving tree’ for their members to donate Christmas gifts for young people living at The Crescent, Transform’s supported housing project in Woking. The initiative received a fantastic response with around 60 gifts being donated.

The gifts were given out at a Christmas lunch held for the young people on 20 December. One of the members of the American Women of Surrey, Anne, volunteered to help at the Christmas lunch along with her family (pictured right).

Theresa Duckett, Project Manager at The Crescent, said:

“We are so grateful to the American Women of Surrey for this fantastic donation! It was brilliant to be able to give out presents to everyone at our Christmas lunch. All the young people were so pleased with their gifts. Special thanks to Anne and her family for volunteering to come along and help on the day – we really appreciated their support.”

Transform Housing & Support is one of three charities that is being supported by the American Women of Surrey during 2013/14.
