Bake-off on a budget!

As part of the annual BBQ, clients in Spelthorne hosted their first 'Bake-Off on a budget' competition.

There were six clients who entered the competition, bringing fabulous treats including apple pie and ‘bad boy cookies’! The winning bake was a Polish Cheesecake baked by Lukasz. He was the lucky winner of vouchers for an outdoor adventure at Go Ape, donated for this event.

Lukasz said about winning the competition:

“I’m very happy about winning the bake-off. I am excited about going to Go Ape”.

Charlie-Ann came second for her imaginatively-titled Marshmallow Delights and received a selection of Jane Asher Baking Accessories.

The BBQ itself was a great success, with clients enjoying good food, a quiz and henna tattooing as well as the Bake-Off! Additional donations of food and prizes were kindly received from Boots, Hobbycraft, Holland & Barrett, JS Fruiterers, Nandos, P & Q Stores, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Waterstones.

Well done to all staff involved in organising this event for clients and well done Lukasz and Charlie-Ann for winning the bake-off!
