Challengers chase cash!

Over the next two months, some very brave volunteers will be participating in sports challenges in order to raise valuable funds for Transform.

On Sunday 12 March, Transform staff members Adelaide, Amy and Hannah will be taking part in the Surrey Half Marathon. The race is a closed road event set in the glorious country roads surrounding Woking and Guildford, as the name suggests, in Surrey.

Adelaide said about the upcoming race:

"I arrived home yesterday to my race bib in the post and realised it’s actually happening again… eeekk! It's been a challenge but I’m now really looking forward to the race day and most importantly happy to raise money for this wonderful charity that I work for."

On Sunday 9 April, Cathy, Sophia and Tara will be taking on the Brighton Marathon. With roaring crowds and a fantastic atmosphere, Brighton Marathon is one of Europe’s favourite 26.2 milers. The course winds through the iconic city centre before finishing on the seafront, where runners can celebrate with friends and family in the Beach Village and enjoy live screens, food, bars and of course, deck chairs!

The sponsorship money that these runners raise will help support our work offering high-quality housing, support and care to enhance the lives of homeless and vulnerable people.

If you are interested in taking part in a sports challenge yourself to raise much needed funds for us, please visit our sports challenges page or email hadams@transformhousing.org.uk for more information.
