ExxonMobil donation helps to transform lives

Transform Housing & Support has received a fundraising boost, in the form of a donation from ExxonMobil.

The oil and gas company, which has its UK headquarters in Leatherhead, donated £2,000 as part of its community investment programme, which focusses on improving the quality of life of the communities where it operates.

The donation bought new furniture for three of Transform’s housing projects, including a shared house for people with learning disabilities. Sophie Foale, Community Affairs Adviser at ExxonMobil, visited the house to see how the company’s donation has helped. Sophie met clients Adrian, Keith, Robert and Sundhar, who showed her around the property and explained how Transform has helped them.

Eleanor March, Communications & Fundraising Manager at Transform Housing & Support, said:

“We are really grateful to ExxonMobil for this kind donation, which has allowed us to give some of our properties a much-needed facelift, with some new furniture. We are delighted that Sophie was able to visit one of our shared houses and see how the donation has helped. All the clients living at the property really like the new furniture and were very pleased to meet Sophie and show her around their home.”

Sophie Foale, Community Affairs Adviser at ExxonMobil, said:

“We were pleased to continue our support of Transform as they provide such an essential service to all they help. I enjoyed meeting the clients whilst visiting their home and was thrilled to see how ExxonMobil’s contribution is making a difference to lives."
