A great day's work

A team of 10 staff from ExxonMobil took part in a Day of Caring for Surrey Community Development Trust (SCDT).

The team did a garden makeover for a project which houses and supports vulnerable people – tidying the garden, planting shrubs and painting fences.

SCDT is also the chosen charity of the year for 2009 by the 1,800 staff at ExxonMobil ‘s European head office.

Paul Mitchell, Chief Executive of SCDT, said:

“We are absolutely delighted. Such dedicated work makes significant improvements to the grounds and helps raise self-esteem of the residents. At a time when charities are particularly under pressure, we are delighted by the generosity and commitment of ExxonMobil and its staff.”

Michael Foley, the team coordinator said:

“ExxonMobil aims to use its energy to make a positive impact on the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. As part of this commitment, we are proud of the efforts of our employees in lending a hand to those in need.”
