Inside Out lunch raises £2,300 for Transform

A fundraising lunch at The Clink restaurant in HM Prison Brixton has raised more than £2,300 for Transform.

The Inside Out Fundraising Lunch was held in The Clink Brixton on Tuesday 1 April. The 92 guests were escorted through the prison gates to enjoy a three-course meal in the restaurant, which is staffed by serving prisoners.

Launched just over a month ago, Brixton is the third restaurant to be opened by The Clink Charity. The food is prepared and served by prisoners, who receive training and work experience to help them find employment on release.

The lunch will raise essential funds for Transform's Building Chances campaign, which aims to raise £1 million to create 60 to 80 new homes for homeless and vulnerable people by 2016.

Update: The lunch has now raised more than £3,100 for Transform. Thank you to everyone who has donated so generously!
