Official launch of our new name and brand

Staff and trustees of Transform Housing & Support were joined by some very special guests for the official launch of our new name and brand.

Vice-Chairman of Mole Valley District Council, Cllr Caroline Salmon, and MP for Mole Valley, Sir Paul Beresford, visited our central office in Leatherhead on Thursday 28 July.

Cllr Salmon and Sir Paul enjoyed tea and cakes and found about more about our work with homeless and vulnerable people. Cllr Salmon cut a cake, decorated with the new logo, to mark the change of name.

Elizabeth Kennedy, Chair of Transform Housing & Support, explained the reasons for the name change, from Surrey Community Development Trust to Transform Housing & Support:

“Our new name Transform Housing & Support explains clearly what we do. The word ‘Transform’ reflects the benefit of our work – we help people to transform their lives. The words ‘Housing and Support’ describe the services we provide.”

Paul Mitchell, Chief Executive of Transform Housing & Support, explained how our logo had evolved over the past 39 years.

“Originally our logo was a bridge; later we changed to a green Surrey oak and then to a house. For the first time we have a logo that features people. People are at the heart of Transform, in the form of our clients, our staff and trustees, and our partners. Our logo shows people working together to support each other, which is what Transform aims do.”
