Paul Mitchell receives Lifetime Achievement award

Transform Housing & Support Chief Executive Paul Mitchell has received a Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to social care services in Surrey.

Paul received the Lifetime Achievement award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Social Care’ from Surrey Care Association at their Surrey Care Awards 2014, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse on Friday 21 November. He was presented with the award by songwriter and Transform Patron Sir Richard Stilgoe OBE.

Paul joined Transform in 1993 and has been Chief Executive since 1997, leading the organisation through a tremendous period of growth and expansion. He was a trustee of Guildford YMCA for 12 years and is involved in several initiatives to support and strengthen Surrey charities and to promote the supported housing sector.

Describing Paul’s contribution in the awards brochure, Surrey Care Association said:

“Paul has successfully led Transform Housing & Support for many years and has been a leading figure amongst supported housing providers in Surrey. His efforts on behalf of providers have ensured that the needs of socially excluded groups have been kept on the agenda.”
