Supporting People services transfer to Transform

Transform has today taken over several Supporting People services in Surrey. The services were previously provided by In Touch, a provider that wished to pull out of delivering these services in Surrey.

We have significant experience of taking over services for other providers, which has given us valuable insight into how to manage this potentially complex process.

Fortunately the new services are located in areas where we already work – Runnymede, Mole Valley, Woking, Reigate and Banstead – and are for client groups that we already support – people with mental health issues and young people. This makes it relatively simple for us to integrate the new services into our existing operations.

Three staff already in post have transferred to Transform under TUPE regulations. We are recruiting to fill three vacancies within the team, including a Deputy Manager who will help manage a large part of these services.

Under these contracts we are now providing support for 39 clients in accommodation provided by Hyde Housing and A2Dominion. We will be working closely with these landlords to ensure the transfer runs smoothly for clients and identify how we can further improve these services.

Paul Mitchell, Chief Executive of Transform Housing & Support, said:

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to take on these new services from In Touch. Over the years we have managed several similar transfers and our experience in this area means we are well-placed to ensure this process runs smoothly. We have four decades of experience in supporting vulnerable and excluded people in Surrey and surrounding areas. We are delighted to welcome three new staff members and 39 new clients to Transform and are confident that we can provide an excellent service.”
