Transform adviser receives MBE

A member of the Advisory Council of Transform Housing & Support has been recognised in the New Year's Honours list.

Sally Varah DL has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).

Sally has been a key adviser of Transform for a number of years. She became a trustee of Transform in 2009. Sally advised on our name change and rebranding in 2011 and played a key role in organising our 40th birthday celebrations.

In 2011 Sally stepped down as a trustee and joined our Advisory Council. She has remained closely involved with Transform, advising on communications, fundraising and events.

Sally’s late husband Michael was also extremely supportive of Transform, serving as a trustee for a number of years.

Paul Mitchell, Chief Executive of Transform Housing & Support, said:

"I would like to congratulate Sally on her MBE, on behalf of everyone at Transform. Sally is one of our most trusted advisers and has made a significant contribution to Transform over the years. We are very grateful for all her support."

"Sally is a great believer in supporting vulnerable people to turn their lives around and reach their potential. She is involved with a number of charities, sharing with them her knowledge and experience but also offering practical support. I am delighted to see her hard work recognised with this very well-deserved honour."
