Transform Housing & Support has today launched a new Emergency Winter Shelter for homeless people in Elmbridge.
The shelter will provide emergency overnight accommodation in East Molesey for up to five people. In very poor weather there will be an extra three beds, bringing the total to eight.
The project is open to single homeless men and women with a connection to Elmbridge who do not have anywhere else to sleep and those who would otherwise be likely to be sleeping rough in the borough.
Referral process
Anyone wishing to access the shelter must be assessed off-site during the day. Successful applicants will then have a place booked for them at the shelter. People cannot turn up at the shelter without a place booked.
